Description

We're all about helping our members make the most of their money. And while they go after their goals, you can too. As a Transformation Assurance Manager (Project Control), you'll join our Audit & Assurance team within Risk and Compliance, where you'll help provide independent and objective assurance services that enhance organisational performance and support the successful delivery of strategic transformation initiatives.

You'll lead assurance activities and project control reviews across a diverse transformation portfolio, coordinate external assurance providers, conduct project and program health checks, and provide trusted advice on governance, controls, risk management and delivery effectiveness. Working closely with senior leaders, project teams and key governance forums, you'll help ensure risks are identified, managed and reported effectively while supporting continuous improvement across transformation governance and delivery practices.

You'll manage portfolio assurance activities from planning through to execution, ensuring assurance reviews are appropriately scoped, delivered and actioned. You'll also oversee assurance provider relationships, monitor emerging risks and assurance needs across the portfolio,

and provide valuable insights that support informed decision‑making at senior leadership and committee level.

This is an opportunity to work across enterprise‑wide transformation initiatives, build strong relationships with key stakeholders and contribute to the ongoing maturity of transformation assurance and project control practices within one of Australia's largest superannuation funds.

This role is a permanent opportunity based in Brisbane or Sydney.

Responsibilities

- Provide guidance on project controls, governance, risk management and control effectiveness.
- Oversee assurance action tracking and provide reporting to relevant governance committees and leadership forums.
- Manage relationships with external assurance providers and monitor service quality and outcomes.
- Build strong partnerships across Transformation Delivery, Enterprise Program Management Office, Strategy, Finance and Risk teams.
- Support continuous improvement of transformation governance, project controls and assurance practices.

Qualifications

It goes without saying you'll be a great communicator with top notch interpersonal skills. We'll also expect you to pick up problems and come up with quick, creative ways to solve them. It's quite likely you tick some of the following boxes too:

- You bring broad experience delivering and supporting portfolios, programs and projects within medium to large organisations using predictive, agile or hybrid delivery approaches.
