1300SMILES Gladstone is looking for a Casual Dental Assistant who's keen to learn chairside, support our clinicians and become part of a friendly and experienced team. Whether you're newly qualified or completely new to dental, we're happy to train the right person.
This casual role works across our Monday to Saturday roster , with shifts typically falling between 7:45am and 5:15pm . It's a great opportunity for someone looking for flexible work while building valuable experience in the dental industry.
Job Description
As a Dental Assistant, you'll play an important role in supporting our clinicians and helping patients feel comfortable throughout their visit.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Assisting dentists and clinicians during procedures and with patient care
- Preparing and maintaining treatment rooms and equipment
- Sterilising instruments and following infection control procedures
- Helping patients feel comfortable and cared for
- Keeping the clinical environment clean, organised and ready for patients
- Supporting the wider practice team with administrative tasks when required
Qualifications
To succeed in the role, you will bring:
- A warm,
approachable manner and a natural ability to put patients at ease
- A willingness to learn and take on new challenges
- Solid communication skills and a team-focused approach
- Good organisation and attention to detail
- Availability to work across the Monday to Saturday roster
- Certificate III or IV in Dental Assisting, or previous dental experience, is highly regarded but not essential.
