MacKellar is growing its operations in partnership with Aeris Resources and is seeking experienced Diesel Fitters to join our maintenance team at a mining project near Nyngan, NSW.

This is an opportunity to join a well-established mining contractor at the early stages of a long-term operation, working on a modern fleet alongside an experienced maintenance team focused on safety, reliability and production performance.

With a 7/7 rotating day and night roster, $80/hr + super, permanent employment, camp accommodation and meals provided, this role offers the stability of a long-term mining project with a genuine work-life balance.

The Role

n

As a Diesel Fitter, you will play a key role in maintaining the reliability and availability of a large fleet of heavy mining equipment.

n

Working as part of a collaborative maintenance team, you will be responsible for scheduled servicing, preventative maintenance and breakdown repairs to keep equipment operating safely and efficiently.

n

Your responsibilities will include:

n

- Performing preventative and corrective maintenance on heavy mining equipment
n




- Diagnosing mechanical faults and completing effective repairs
n
- Carrying out inspections and identifying potential issues before they impact production
n
- Completing maintenance records, service reports and other required documentation
n
- Following site safety procedures and maintaining high standards of workmanship
n
- Working closely with operators and other trades to maximise equipment availability
n
- Supporting a strong safety and reliability-focused maintenance culture
n

About You

n

To be successful in this role, you will have:

n

n
- A recognised trade qualification as a Diesel Fitter, Heavy Vehicle Mechanic or equivalent
n
- Experience maintaining heavy earthmoving, mining, civil or construction equipment
n
- Strong mechanical fault-finding and diagnostic skills
n
- A commitment to safety and quality workmanship
n
- The ability to work a 7/7 rotating day and night roster
n
- A current Australian Driver's Licence
n
- Previous mining experience will be highly regarded
n
