Karara Mining Limited (KML) is an Ansteel Group company formed as a joint venture with Gindalbie Metals Limited. Ansteel is one of the largest iron ore producers and steel makers in China. Located 200km south-east of Geraldton, Western Australia, Karara is the largest mining operation and the first major magnetite mine in the Mid-West. It produces a premium, high-grade concentrate product for export to steelmakers.

The opportunity

Join our HR team as an Officer – based in our Perth CBD office, working Monday to Friday. In this role, you’ll support HR operations, systems, and provide key payroll assistance to our stakeholders. A excellent opportunity to grow your HR career in a supportive and professional environment.

To be successful in the role, the following is essential:

- A tertiary qualification in Human Resources or similar is highly desirable.
- Extensive experience in an administrative position.
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft office suite including: Word, Excel, PowerPoint & Visio.
- Ability to prioritise competing deadlines.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Demonstrated initiative and meticulous attention to detail are essential qualities.
- Strong time management and organisational skills.
- Ability to build effective relationships with team members and other key stakeholders at all levels of the organisation.
- Effective interpersonal skills and the ability to work with cross-functional working teams.

Key Duties include (but are not limited to):

- Data preparation of weekly & monthly reporting.
- Ad hoc financial data preparation and related documents (e.g. costing analysis and reports) as required.
- Assist Finance Department with monthly accruals for HR.
- Manage SAP systems for department, including developing of purchase orders, receipting, invoicing and communication with suppliers.
- Conduct database audits to ensure personnel data is recorded accurately and consistently across all databases including INX, SAP, Definitiv Payroll, Organisational Chart & Headcount Budget.
- Domestic travel arrangements for General Manager and department team members as required, including flight bookings,



vehicle and accommodation arrangements.
- Ensuring Karara Employee personnel files are maintained.
- Preparing and distributing employee variation letters.
- End to End processing of monthly pay run & adhoc pay run when required.
- Point of contact for all payroll & personal data queries for all employees.
- Manage and update the company Headcount budget and Organisational Chart.

About Karara Mining

Located 200 km south-east of Geraldton in the Shire of Perenjori, Western Australia Karara has an expected mine life of 30+ years. The operation includes a large open pit mine, complex ore processing and beneficiation plant and significant infrastructure and logistics networks. As part of the logistics network Karara owns and operates 80km of railway between Tilley Junction and the Karara mine site, linking the Karara Export Terminal at the Port of Geraldton, able to handle up to 16 Mtpa of export product from a dedicated berth, with associated rail and train unloading infrastructure.
