We are looking for qualified Mechanical and Electrical Tradespeople to join our client's growing Rolling Stock Maintenance team at Kangy Angy.
Supporting both operational and stabled passenger trains, you'll play a key role in maintaining fleet reliability, safety, and performance. Rolling stock experience is highly regarded; however, trade-qualified candidates from other industries are encouraged to apply, full training and support will be provided to successful candidates.
Key Responsibilities
- Support live running trains and prepare rolling stock for revenue service at Kangy Angy
- Carry out maintenance activities across various rolling stock storage locations
- Diagnose faults and perform repairs on mechanical and/or electrical systems
- Complete preventative and corrective maintenance tasks
- Maintain accurate maintenance records and documentation
- Ensure all work is completed safely, efficiently, and in accordance with quality standards
- Work collaboratively within a high performing maintenance team
This position will initially commence on a day shift roster, averaging 38 hours per week.
Skills & Experience
- Full Australian working rights
- Australian-recognised Mechanical or Electrical Trade Qualification
- Certificate of Proficiency (or equivalent)
- Strong fault-finding, troubleshooting, and diagnostic skills
- Ability to read and interpret technical documentation and drawings
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong commitment to workplace health and safety
- Reliable, self-motivated, and punctual
- Ability to work independently and within a team setting
- Focus on quality workmanship and continuous improvement
- Forklift and/or Overhead Crane Licence (desirable but not essential)
- Rail Industry Worker (RIW) card or willingness to obtain one (preferred)
