We are working with a leading cost consultancy that is looking to appoint an experienced Associate Quantity Surveyor / Associate Cost Consultant to join its Brisbane team.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Quantity Surveyor ready to take the next step in their career, or an existing Associate looking for greater responsibility, client exposure and progression.
The consultancy works across a diverse portfolio of major projects, giving you exposure to some of the most active sectors across the Queensland market, including Data Centres, Commercial, Education, Health and Infrastructure.
The Opportunity
As an Associate, you will take a leading role across a portfolio of major projects, working closely with clients and senior stakeholders while supporting and developing the wider team.
You will be involved across the full project lifecycle, including:
- Feasibility and early-stage cost advice.
- Cost planning and estimating.
- Procurement and tender strategy.
- Tender documentation and analysis.
- Post-contract cost management.
- Commercial reporting, forecasting and cost control.
- Client advisory and stakeholder management.
Alongside project delivery, you will have the opportunity to take greater ownership of client relationships, team development and business growth.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the delivery of cost management services across major projects.
- Act as a key point of contact for clients and project stakeholders.
- Provide strategic cost and commercial advice throughout the project lifecycle.
- Manage and review cost plans, estimates, tenders and commercial reporting.
- Identify opportunities to strengthen and develop client relationships.
- Support business development and the growth of the Brisbane team.
- Mentor and develop junior and intermediate Quantity Surveyors.
- Work closely with Directors and senior leadership on major client accounts and projects.
About You
We are looking for an experienced Quantity Surveyor with:
- Strong PQS / cost consultancy experience.
- Proven experience delivering major building or infrastructure projects.
- Strong technical capability across cost planning, estimating and post-contract services.
- Excellent client and stakeholder management skills.
- Experience leading projects and mentoring junior team members.
- A commercial mindset and interest in developing client relationships.
- The confidence to take ownership and operate at an Associate level.
Experience across Data Centres, Infrastructure, Commercial, Education, Health or other major project environments would be highly regarded.
