Neighbourhood Officer (Part-Time 6 months)
As aNeighbourhood Officer,you’llmanage a diverse portfolioof housingtenancies, supporting customers tomaintainsuccessfultenanciesand contributing to safe, positive neighbourhoods.
You’llbuild relationships, solveproblemsand manage everything fromtenancy compliance and arrears,to property,wellbeingand complex customer matters. With home visits, inspections, stakeholderengagementandNCATmatters all part of the mix, this is a role where every day brings something different.
This is a6-month,part time(3 days a week)opportunitysuited to an experienced housing or community services professional who thrives on variety, meaningful customer engagement and managing a diverse caseload.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Manage a portfolio of tenancies andmaintainaccuratecustomer records
- Conduct routine property inspections and complete follow-up actions
- Support customers to sustain their tenancies and achieve positive outcomes
- Resolve tenancy issues,complaintsand anti-social behaviour matters
- Monitor rent accounts andassistcustomers experiencing financial hardship
- Build strong relationships with internal teams and external stakeholders
- Ensure compliance with tenancy legislation,policiesand procedures
REQUIREMENTS
- Current NSW Driver Licence and access to a comprehensively insured vehicle
- Police Check, WorkingWithChildren Check, NDIS Worker Screening Check
- Minimum 2 years’ experience in a community services, housing or related sector
- An understanding of the Residential Tenancies Act and NCAT processes.
DESIRABLE
- Certificate IV in Community Services or equivalent
