Hands-on plumber. Strong leader. Take ownership of your projects.

We’re looking for an experienced Licensed Plumber to lead hydronic heating installation projects from start to finish.

This is a hands-on role for someone who can run a job, lead a team, solve problems and still get on the tools. You’ll work autonomously, keep projects on track and maintain high standards of workmanship, safety and communication.

We’re after someone who is calm, positive, responsible and qualified on site.

You’ll be supported by our Scheduler and Operations Manager with procurement, materials and scheduling, so you can focus on leading the work and delivering the project.

You must be appropriately licensed and willing to act as the business’s Nominated Supervisor.

About Us

We’re a specialist hydronic heating business delivering residential and commercial projects across Sydney.

Most of our work is in the Northern Suburbs, Northern Beaches, Eastern Suburbs and Inner City, across high-end residential and commercial sites.

Our projects include underfloor heating, heat pumps, boilers, plant rooms and associated hydronic heating & cooling systems.

We place a strong emphasis on doing the work properly, keeping projects organised and supporting our site teams with dedicated scheduling and operations.

What You’ll Do

You’ll lead the day-to-day delivery of our hydronic heating installations, from site set out through to commissioning and handover.

- Lead and work hands-on across hydronic heating installations

- Set out and install underfloor heating pipework, manifolds, pumps and associated plumbing

- Install and connect heat pumps, gas boilers and plant room equipment

- Read plans and coordinate pipework routes, penetrations and equipment locations

- Plan daily works and coordinate installers, apprentices, plumbers and subcontractors

- Work with builders and other trades around slab, screed,

plant room and fit-off programmes

- Maintain quality, compliance and correct system installation

- Test, commission and hand over completed hydronic heating systems

- Troubleshoot installation and site issues as they arise

- Forecast materials, equipment and labour requirements

- Coordinate procurement and scheduling with our Scheduler and Operations Manager

- Attend site meetings and communicate progress, issues and variations

- Complete job reports, site documentation and project updates

- Keep projects moving to programme while maintaining high standards of workmanship and safety

- Fulfil the responsibilities associated with being the Nominated Supervisor

This is a hands-on site role. You’ll lead the installation, work alongside the team and take responsibility for delivering the system properly from start to finish.

What We’re Looking For

Essential

- Current plumbing contractor’s licence and eligibility and willingness to act as the business’s Nominated Supervisor

- Proven experience leading plumbers, apprentices or installation teams

- Strong plumbing installation, fault-finding and problem-solving skills

- Experience running works on active construction sites

- Ability to read plans, specifications and technical documentation

- Strong understanding of plumbing codes, standards and compliance requirements

- Confident communicating with builders, site managers, clients and other trades

- Organised, forward-thinking and able to keep projects moving

- Able to work autonomously and make sound decisions on site

- Good written communication and job reporting skills

- Comfortable using job-management software and digital reporting systems

- Current driver’s licence

Highly Regarded Experience

Experience in any of the following would be an advantage:

- Hydronic underfloor heating systems

- Air-to-water heat pumps and gas boilers

- Hydronic heating and cooling

- Pumps, manifolds and plant room installations

- Mechanical plumbing

- System testing, commissioning and fault-finding

- Heating controls and system troubleshooting

Hydronic heating experience is preferred, but we’re also open to an experienced plumbing leader with strong technical skills and the ability to learn quickly.

Salary & Package

$120,000 – $140,000 + Super

The package includes:

- Fully maintained company van, fuel and tolls

- Company phone and iPad

- Uniforms

- Ongoing technical and manufacturer training

- Full-time, secure position

- Genuine autonomy to run your projects

- Strong support from scheduling and operations

- Technically varied hydronic heating projects

- A senior role where you can lead projects without giving up the tools

Who This Role Will Suit

This role would suit an experienced Senior Plumber, Leading Hand, Plumbing Supervisor, Mechanical Plumber or Lead Installer who wants to take ownership of projects while remaining hands-on.

It may also suit someone who has run their own plumbing business and enjoys leading teams and delivering projects, but would prefer the support of an established scheduling and operations team behind them.

If you’re the person others turn to when something needs to be worked out, you take pride in quality workmanship and you’re comfortable taking a project from start to finish, we’d like to hear from you.
