About the role:

We are seeking an experienced and well-connected Business Development Manager to support the continued growth of our operations across Papua New Guinea.

This is a part time opportunity suited to someone with strong relationships across the mining and resources sector who understands the PNG market and enjoys developing new business, strengthening client partnerships and identifying opportunities for growth.

Working closely with our operational and leadership teams, you will play a key role in expanding our presence throughout PNG while maintaining strong relationships with existing and prospective clients.

Key responsibilities:

- Develop and maintain relationships with key mining and resource clients across PNG
- Identify new business, project and contract opportunities
- Build a strong pipeline of prospective clients and upcoming work
- Conduct regular client meetings, networking and relationship management
- Assist with tenders, proposals, pricing discussions and commercial opportunities
- Provide market intelligence on upcoming projects, competitors and industry activity
- Work closely with operational teams to ensure opportunities can be successfully delivered
- Represent the business professionally at client meetings and industry events




- Support the ongoing growth and development of our PNG operations
- Travel to PNG as required to meet with clients and support business development activities

Skills and experience:

- Previous experience in similar role within the mining industry
- Previous expat experience and knowledge (highly desired)
- Previous experience working with mining contractors, maintenance providers or OEMs would be advantageous
- Strong commercial awareness and negotiation skills
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
- Ability to work autonomously while remaining closely connected with the wider team
- Ability to build and maintain customer relationships
