Izzat Consulting Engineers is seeking an experienced Finance Officer to join our Hamilton team on a part-time basis (15 hours per week).

What you'll be doing

The primary purpose of this position is to assist the Finance Manager with day-to-day financial transactions, fortnightly payroll, and reporting to ensure accurate, timely record keeping. Including;

- Generating, and processing of invoices and reports
- Management of financial records, accounts payable and receivable
- Monitor and actively follow up outstanding accounts payable (debtors)
- Assist in processing fortnightly payroll
- Bank reconciliations
- Assist in the preparation of quarterly and yearly financial results

What we're looking for

- Demonstrated experience in a similar role, including Payroll, Accounts Payable and Receivable
- Advanced bookkeeping skills and experience in the use of financial ERP systems, Xero is essential
- High level of accuracy and strong attention to detail




- Strong oral and written communication skills with the ability to deal professionally with people at all levels
- Advanced skills in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint
- Current Class C Motor Vehicle Drivers Licence
- Prior experience in an engineering firm would be advantageous
