The Opportunity

Our host is seeking a motivated and safety-focused 3rd or 4th Year Mechanical Fitter Apprentice to join their skilled maintenance team. - Potential and training to work towards leading the maintenance shop

Duties may include

- Operate and adjust metalworking machines to create parts or tools by turning, boring, milling, shaping, slotting, grinding, or drilling metal stock or components
- Using hand and machine tools, welding equipment, and CNC machines
- Cut, thread, bend, and install hydraulic and pneumatic pipes and lines
- Ensure accuracy and quality of finished parts, tools, or sub-assemblies
- Operating lathes, machining centres, sheet metal folders, and benders
- Wide variety of welding practices including MIG, TIG, and Stick welding

About You

- Must be an Australian Citizen or permanent resident with the right to work in Australia
- Drivers Licence essential
- Currently in mid to late third year or fourth year of apprenticeship
- Forklift license desirable
- Kowledge and understanding of pneumatics and hydraulics
- Experience with lathe and milling machine
- Basic welding and oxy cutting skills
