My client is a rapidly growing organisation delivering vital supply chain solutions across Australasia is looking for an experienced Engineering Manager / Tech Lead to join their team. Reporting directly to the Head of IT, you will oversee core system stability, mentor distributed development teams, and shape up-to-date engineering standards-including the adoption of AI-assisted development tools.

Key Responsibilities

- Infrastructure & Systems Ownership: Drive key architectural decisions, take full ownership of hosting environments, backup strategies, server administration, and overall system health.
- Technical Guidance & Code Quality: Conduct code reviews, set high technical standards, and ensure systems remain scalable, secure, and resilient.
- Team Leadership & Mentorship: Guide both onshore and offshore engineering teams, fostering continuous learning and engineering excellence.
- Project Delivery & Tooling:



Partner with Project Managers on scoping and resource allocation; standardise AI-assisted dev and ops tooling to boost velocity.

What We're Looking For

- Proven Leadership: Solid track record as an Engineering Manager, Tech Lead, or Senior Engineer ready for step-up leadership.
- Deep Technical Expertise: Hands-on mastery of Python, PostgreSQL, Linux environments, and modern front-end frameworks like Vue.js.
- Distributed Team Management: Experience collaborating effectively across both onshore and offshore development units.
- Ownership Mindset: Strong communication skills to translate complex technical decisions to stakeholders, paired with a proactive, solutions-oriented approach.
