Southside Endoscopy Centre is looking for a friendly, organised and detail-focused Day Hospital Medical Receptionist to join our established day hospital in Springwood.

Whether you’re a school leaver with some office experience looking to develop your skills and grow in the rewarding day hospital reception sector, or an experienced medical receptionist ready to take on a recent role, we’d love to hear from you.

About Us

For over 35 years, we’ve provided exceptional gastroenterology and endoscopy services across Brisbane’s Southside. We’re proud of our professionalism, compassion, efficiency and patient-focused approach.

What You’ll Do

- Welcome, admit and discharge patients for their day admission with care and professionalism
- Manage bookings and administration for endoscopy, colonoscopy and consult appointments
- Process hospital and doctor billing, including Medicare, DVA and private health
- Prepare and import patient hospital admission paperwork
- Scan and manage patient hospital correspondence
- Download and check pathology results
- Support our clinical team and help keep the day running smoothly
- Maintain accurate patient records and documentation

You’ll ideally be someone who:

- Is enthusiastic, reliable and keen to develop their skills
- Enjoys learning new systems and processes
- Has friendly, professional communication skills
- Has strong attention to detail and computer skills
- Can multitask while remaining calm and organised
- Works well as part of a supportive team
- Has medical administration experience, or a genuine willingness to learn

The Role: Part-time, 30 hours per week

Work Days: Flexibility with work days – to be discussed at interview

Contract: Initial 6 months probationary period, with a view to extension to permanent contract

Hours: Rostered hours between 6.00am and 4.00pm, with common shifts including 6.00am-2.00pm, 6.30am-2.30pm, 8.00am-4.00pm)
