Spanline Home Additions Mackay is looking for an experienced, driven Design Advisor to join our growing local team.

Working with a solid pipeline of incoming customer enquiries, you’ll help homeowners turn their ideas into patios, carports and outdoor living projects — from initial consultation and design through to signed contract and project completion.

This is not a cold-calling role.

The role

You’ll manage your own customers and sales opportunities while being supported by our administration, approvals and construction team.

Your responsibilities will include:

Meeting customers at their homes to understand their needs, budget and vision.

Measuring and assessing sites and developing suitable design solutions.

Preparing designs, quotations and proposals using Spanline systems and software.

Presenting options and guiding customers towards the right solution.

Following up enquiries and quotations and converting opportunities into projects.

Managing customer communication from initial enquiry through to completion.

Coordinating with our administration and construction teams to ensure an accurate project handover.

Developing a strong understanding of Spanline products, pricing and relevant building requirements.

Who we’re looking for

Previous patio or home-improvement experience would be advantageous, but it isn’t essential.

More important is the right combination of sales ability, practical aptitude, professionalism and drive.

You’ll ideally be:

An accomplished salesperson or experienced customer-facing professional.

Confident, personable and able to build genuine rapport with customers.

Practical and technically minded, with good spatial awareness.

Comfortable measuring sites,



working with dimensions and learning design software.

Commercially minded and motivated by achieving results.

Organised and capable of managing multiple customers and projects.

Comfortable working independently while contributing to a broader team.

Accountable, professional and trustworthy when representing our business.

Experience in construction, building products, sheds, kitchens, pools, automotive, real estate, home improvement or other consultative sales environments would transfer well.

A current driver’s licence is required. Vehicle arrangements are negotiable depending on the successful applicant’s experience and circumstances.
