Practice Manager -Full time- Medical (GP Clinic) & Dental | Upper North Shore

Mt Kuring-Gai Medical and Dental Centre is seeking a Practice Manager to take full operational ownership of both the medical and dental practices. You'll lead a team of 7 administrative and reception staff, reporting directly to the practice principals with monthly meetings, while managing day-to-day operations across a busy seven-day GP practice and dental practice that is open on 3 days a week and alternate Saturdays.

This role suits someone who likes having their hands on the whole business: the roster, the numbers, the systems and the people.

Key responsibilities

- Rostering across seven-day trading, leave and coverage, recruitment and induction, training and performance conversations, and Health Professionals and Support Services Award compliance
- Patient flow and systems: Appointment books and clinic lists across both practices, online booking, recalls and reminders, waiting-room experience, and continuous improvement of the way we work, including increasing our care plan usage.
- Medicare, DVA and CDBS claiming, private and health fund billing, EFTPOS reconciliation, debtors, supplier accounts, and monthly operational reporting to the principals
- Compliance: RACGP Standards accreditation, privacy and records, WHS, cold chain, and infection control and sterilisation records on the dental side
- MyMedicare registrations, keeping the practice current with MBS and bulk-billing incentive changes, and helping develop services across both practices

About you





- Experience leading a team in a healthcare setting - practice manager, clinic manager position
- Confident with Medicare billing and claiming, and with reconciling what you've claimed
- Fluent in BP clinical practice management system and use of PRODA
- A working understanding of patient privacy and healthcare compliance obligations
- Calm, organised and genuinely good with people - patients, staff and practitioners
- The initiative to see a problem and fix it without being asked
- Desirable: BD4Windows (D4W) experience; experience with an RACGP accreditation cycle

About us

Mt Kuring-Gai Medical Centre is a mixed-billing general practice in the ALDI Complex in Mount Kuring-Gai, open seven days a week - 8 am to 7 pm weekdays and 9 am to 4 pm weekends. We have five GPs, two practice nurses and four reception staff, with onsite pathology and visiting physiotherapy, chiropractic, dietetics, psychology and podiatry.

Next door, Mt Kuring-Gai Dental is a single-chair practice offering general, children's and cosmetic dentistry. The dental practice is open 3 days a week and alternate Saturdays.

$105,000 to 120,000 base plus 12% superannuation (pro rata at four days)

$1800 per year for career development, plus paid AAPM membership

Work from home 1 day a week after the initial 3 months.
