About the Role Smart Start Preschool in Chester Hill is seeking a passionate and dedicated Early Childcare Educator to join our team on a full-time basis. We are looking for an enthusiastic educator who is committed to providing high-quality care, education and learning experiences for young children. The successful candidate will play an important role in creating a safe, nurturing and engaging environment where every child feels supported, valued and encouraged to learn and grow.
About You
- Hold a Diploma qualification in Early Childhood Education and Care or equivalent recognised qualification.
- Have a minimum of 1 year's experience working in an early childhood education setting.
- Have a genuine passion for working with young children and supporting their development.
- Demonstrate strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Be able to build positive relationships with children, families and colleagues.
- Have a sound understanding of children's developmental needs and the Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF).
- Be reliable, professional, enthusiastic and committed to providing quality early childhood education and care.
- Be able to work effectively as part of a team while also demonstrating initiative.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
- Providing high-quality care,
supervision and education to children in accordance with their individual needs.
- Planning and implementing engaging, age-appropriate educational experiences and activities.
- Supporting children's social, emotional, physical and cognitive development.
- Creating a safe, inclusive, stimulating and welcoming learning environment.
- Developing positive and respectful relationships with children and their families.
- Observing children's development and contributing to learning documentation and programs.
- Working collaboratively with other educators and the wider preschool team.
- Maintaining a high standard of health, safety, hygiene and supervision at all times.
- Supporting the implementation of the centre's policies, procedures and educational programs.
- Communicating effectively with families regarding children's experiences, development and wellbeing.
- Contributing to a positive team culture and the continuous improvement of the preschool.
