Talentpath Recruitment

Queensland

Talentpath is proud to be partnering with Auger Torque Australia (ATA), a global leader in earthmoving attachments, to recruit an Account Manager for their Brisbane office. If you've built your career in trades, civil, construction, machinery or earthmoving and have successfully transitioned into sales or account management, this could be the perfect next step.

This role gives you ownership of a customer portfolio across Queensland, with a strong focus on growing sales, developing dealer relationships and identifying recent opportunities in the market. While relationship management is key, this isn't a passive account management role. We're looking for someone who enjoys being in front of customers, building trust, spotting opportunities and driving commercial outcomes, while still being willing to roll up their sleeves and support the wider team when needed.

What's in it for you?

- Base salary $110K-$120K + super.
- Generous quarterly KPI bonuses, plus annual performance bonus.
- Fully maintained vehicle for personal use, fuel card and tolls covered.
- Free on-site parking at the bright and modern Darra office.
- Significant investment in professional development and training.
- Regular social events & team lunches, be part of a genuinely engaged and collaborative team
- Healthy and high performing existing customer base, with huge growth potential.

About the role

Reporting to the General Manager, you'll take ownership of an established portfolio of customers, dealer resellers and OEM partners across Queensland, with a key focus on driving revenue growth, identifying new opportunities and strengthening customer relationships.

- Support sales enquiries across phone, email, web leads and walk-in customers, confidently switching between relationship‑building conversations, processing orders and rolling up your sleeves to assist with customer collections in the warehouse.
- Collaborate across the business to deliver exceptional customer outcomes, partnering with operations, dispatch, workshop, marketing and sales support teams.

This is a hands‑on, team‑first environment where you might be working with the Sales Administrator to progress orders, bringing Marketing along on customer visits, or jumping into the warehouse to support customer collections and ensure products are delivered on time.
- Nurture, manage and grow relationships with existing customers, dealer resellers and OEM partners through regular communication and site visits, taking the time to understand their operations, challenges and equipment requirements.
- Drive revenue growth across the region by developing opportunities within existing accounts, securing new business and confidently negotiating pricing and commercial outcomes on larger sales opportunities.
- Provide product advice and hands‑on technical support where appropriate, drawing on your industry experience to help customers, dealers and OEM partners identify the right equipment and practical solutions for their operations.
- Manage the end‑to‑end sales process, from enquiry through to delivery, maintaining an active pipeline of opportunities, processing orders, keeping CRM records up to date and ensuring customers remain informed throughout the process. You'll also work closely with dealers on forecasting and inventory planning to support strong stock availability, maximise sales opportunities and deliver an exceptional customer experience.
- Take ownership of Queensland trade shows and industry events, coordinating everything from planning and logistics through to equipment preparation, trailer loading, event setup and pack‑down, while representing the brand onsite and building relationships with customers,

dealers and industry partners

About you

You're commercially minded, relationship‑driven and comfortable operating in a sales‑focused environment. Whether you've transitioned off the tools into sales or built your career selling into the civil, construction, earthmoving or machinery sectors, you understand the industry and know how to build strong customer relationships.

- Demonstrated experience in B2B account management, sales or business development, with a proven ability to grow customer relationships, identify opportunities and achieve commercial outcomes while delivering exceptional customer service.
- A background in civil construction, earthmoving, equipment, machinery, trades or a similar blue‑collar industry, allowing you to confidently engage with customers, understand their challenges and provide practical solutions that add value.
- Strong commercial acumen and confidence having sales conversations, asking the right questions, uncovering opportunities and growing accounts through a consultative approach.
- A hands‑on mindset and genuine willingness to roll up your sleeves, whether that's supporting a trade show, helping a customer onsite, collecting an order from the warehouse or stepping in to support the wider team when needed.
- Strong communication, organisation and problem‑solving skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities, think creatively and build trusted relationships with customers, dealers and internal stakeholders.
- A collaborative, down‑to‑earth and approachable style. You're someone who leads through actions, contributes positively to team culture and engagement, and is motivated by collective success rather than individual recognition.
- A forklift licence will be highly regarded, but not essential.

Who are we, and what's next?

We recognise that people are more than just their CVs and take pride in being inclusive and diverse in our recruiting process.
