We are seeking a passionate and experienced Essential English Teacher to join a leading independent girls’ school in Brisbane on a fixed-term basis for Term 4, 2026.

You will:

- Deliver engaging Essential English lessons across the relevant secondary year levels.
- Develop students’ literacy, communication and critical thinking skills.
- Build positive and supportive relationships with students.
- Assess, monitor and report on student progress.
- Collaborate with colleagues to support student learning and wellbeing.
- Contribute positively to the wider life of the school.

You will bring:

- Robust subject knowledge and a genuine passion for English and teaching.
- Experience teaching, or confidence working with, Essential English students.
- A commitment to student-centred and inclusive learning.
- Strong communication, organisation and teamwork skills.
- The ability to build positive relationships and engage students in their learning.
- A willingness to contribute to a values-driven school community.

Requirements

- Relevant teaching qualification.
- Current, or ability to obtain, QCT registration.
- Full working rights in Australia.
