The Opportunity
We are seeking a Warehouse Senior Storeperson for our Warehouse based in our head office in Melbourne. This role will provide support to the Warehouse Manager and Warehouse Team Leads and will be required to oversee and manage the new employee onboarding and training program and fill in for the Team Leads when they are on leave.
You'll also have responsibilities for:
- Conducts the on-job training and assessments of all Warehouse team members across both Inwards and Despatch and provides feedback /training records to the Warehouse Leads and Manager.
- Acts as a Warehouse Lead when one is on leave
- Assisting the team where required and using material handling equipment including forklift.
- Participating in continuous improvement projects.
- Supporting management in the execution and training of health and safety initiatives.
- Embrace a strong existing culture and be a positive influence for the team.
About you
To succeed in this position the Senior Storeperson needs to be an energetic, persistent and passionate person who lives and breathes the F&P; way of working. The successful candidate will have 18 months demonstrated warehouse leadership experience, and have proven experience in providing training and onboarding to staff, both new and old, with a strong relationship building skillset and demonstrated adherence to OH&S.;
You will be able to demonstrate skilled communication skills along with strong application and systems knowledge including relevant ERP. You should also be able to show your strength in organizing and prioritizing workload for assigned team in a fast paced distribution operations. Experience in Health & Safety, and knowledge of WMS equipment such as wireless handheld scanners and order pickers is a plus. Strong material handling experience—forklift licence is also required.
