Service Technician (Heavy Vehicle Trailer Mechanic)
Are you a qualified Heavy Vehicle / Diesel Mechanic looking for a stable, hands-on role with an established Australian transport equipment manufacturer?
We are currently seeking a skilled Service Technician to join our busy workshop team. You will be responsible for servicing, repairing, and maintaining heavy vehicle trailers and associated transport equipment to the highest standards of safety and quality.

Primary Key Responsibilities
- Servicing & Maintenance: Carry out scheduled preventative maintenance, routine servicing, and general mechanical repairs on heavy vehicle trailers.
- Diagnostics & Fault-Finding: Identify and resolve mechanical faults across trailer systems, including braking, suspension, wheel-end, pneumatic, and hydraulic components.
- Component Replacement:
Perform mechanical fitting, adjustments, and component replacements in line with manufacturer specifications and engineering guidelines.
- Safety Inspections: Conduct thorough defect inspections to identify wear or potential safety hazards, recommending proper repairs.
- Quality & Documentation: Ensure high-quality workmanship, complete job cards and service reports accurately, and meet workshop time frames.
Key Requirements
- Trade Qualification: Trade qualified as a Heavy Vehicle Mechanic, Diesel Mechanic, or equivalent mechanical trade.
- Experience: Proven hands‑on experience servicing, diagnosing, and repairing heavy vehicle trailers or transport equipment.
- Technical Knowledge: Sound understanding of heavy vehicle braking, suspension, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems.
- Safety First: Strong commitment to WHS procedures, hazard reporting, and maintaining a clean, safe work area.
- Attributes: Good communication skills, strong problem‑solving ability, and a reliable team player.
