Theopportunity
As an Internal Communications Officerat Warrigal, you’ll help keep our people informed, connected and upto date through clear, engaging and accessiblecommunication.
Working closely with the InternalCommunications Manager, you’ll create a range of content includingnewsletters, staff and resident communications, signage and brandedmaterials. You’ll also help manage our SharePoint intranet andcommunication resources, making sure information is accurate, easyto find and consistent with our brand andvoice.
It’s a varied role that will see youmove between writing, editing, content coordination, design anddigital platforms.
You’ll work with people across Warrigal to bringinformation together and turn it into communications that areuseful, relevant and easy tounderstand.
We’re looking for someone who isorganised, creative and detail-focused, who takes pride inproducing quality work and enjoys working across different types ofcommunication. Most importantly, you’ll understand the differencethoughtful communication can make in helping people feel known,loved and connected.

The requirements | What ittakes to do this work
- Relevant tertiary qualificationsor experience in communications, marketing, journalism, PR or arelated field.
- Excellent writing, editing andproofreading skills, with strong attention to detail andaccuracy.
- Ability to work within anestablished house style, voice and editorial guidelines andrespond constructively to feedback.
- Strong organisational skills,with the ability to manage competing priorities, meet deadlinesand work independently.
- Strong interpersonal skills andconfidence working with diverse internal and externalstakeholders.
- Discretion and sound judgementwhen handling confidentialinformation.
- Understanding of internalcommunications and the ability to communicate withempathy.
- Understanding of and commitmentto workplace equity, diversity andinclusion.
- Proficiency in Microsoft 365,including Teams, Outlook, Word and SharePoint, and ability tolearn new platforms quickly.
- Current NSW driverlicence.
- SharePoint intranet experience,including page creation, permissions and contentmanagement.
- Graphic design and multimediaskills using Canva,
Adobe Creative Suite or similartools.
- Understanding of Large LanguageModels, including how they work and theirlimitations.
- Knowledge of the aged caresector and key industry issues.
