Support Worker – Male Participants (NDIS) | Brisbane & Surrounds

Pay: SCHADS Award, classification based on skills and experience, plus penalties and allowances
Shifts: Early mornings, afternoons, evenings, weekends

About the role
You will provide one-to-one supports to male participants across home and community settings. Many supports include gender-matched personal care at the participant’s request. Your work will focus on dignity, cultural safety, positive relationships and participant choice and control.
Key responsibilities
- Daily living supports, including personal care, meal prep and domestic tasks
- Community access, appointments and recreation
- Accurate progress notes, incident reporting and communication with the team
- Transport using your insured, roadworthy vehicle when required
- Uphold the NDIS Code of Conduct, privacy and safeguarding at all times
You’ll bring
- Warm,
professional manner with clear boundaries and outstanding communication
- Reliability, problem-solving and calm judgement under pressure
- Respect for men’s health needs, trauma-informed and strengths-based practice
- Tech-confident for rostering apps, incident forms and note-taking
- Availability for a mix of weekday and weekend shifts within reason
- NDIS Worker Screening Check (cleared)
- NDIS Worker Orientation Module completion (or willingness to obtain)
- Current First Aid and CPR (or willingness to obtain)
- Valid driver licence and comprehensively insured vehicle
- Full Australian work rights
- Working with Children Check (Blue Card or willingness to obtain)
- Certificate III or IV in Individual Support, Disability, Mental Health or similar
- Experience supporting men with psychosocial disability, autism or complex needs
- Cultural capability and commitment to inclusive practice
