Now Careers client is seeking a hands-on Assistant Production Manager to join an established precast concrete manufacturing facility in Blacktown. This is a outstanding opportunity for someone with robust precast experience who wants to move into a leadership and production management role .

Working alongside the Production Manager, you will help manage the daily production operation while developing your skills across people management, production planning, quality, safety and workflow coordination.

The Role

- Assist with daily precast production and workflow.
- Coordinate labour, materials and production priorities.
- Monitor quality, productivity and production targets.
- Support QA pre-pour and post-pour inspections and quality requirements.
- Lead, support and mentor production staff.
- Help identify and resolve production issues.
- Work closely with maintenance, quality and logistics teams.
- Assist with production reporting and performance management.
- Support training and continuous improvement.
- Step into the Production Manager's role when required.

About You





We are particularly interested in candidates with hands-on precast or construction experience who are ready to progress into leadership.

You could be a current or former:

- Precast Operator
- Steelfixer
- Leading Hand Carpenter
- Precast Leading Hand
- QA Pre-Pour / Post-Pour Inspector
- Senior Construction or Production Worker
- Precast Tradesperson

You’ll bring:

- Strong practical construction or precast manufacturing knowledge.
- Understanding of precast production processes, QA and quality control .
- Experience with or understanding of pre-pour and post-pour inspections .
- Ability to read drawings and follow specifications.
- Good communication and problem-solving skills.
- A hands-on, team-focused approach.
- The drive and potential to develop into a Production Manager .
