We are looking for our next superstar to lead Compass' growing Employability Skills Program from our beautiful new Nambour Centre.
n
5 Days per Week – 32.5 hours

About the role
n
The Employability Skills Program supports Trainees to build confidence, develop practical workplace skills and work towards employment goals that reflect their strengths and interests.
n
The program is delivered using the Individual Placement and Support model, adapted to meet the needs of people with intellectual disabilities. It focuses on individual goals, work-ready skills, employer connections, work experience and pathways into paid employment.
n
As Coordinator, you will lead the day-to-day delivery and continued development of the program. You will work closely with Trainees, staff, employers, training providers and community organisations to create practical opportunities that lead to real outcomes.

In this role, you will:
n

- Lead the delivery and growth of the Employability Skills Program
n
- Support Trainees to identify their strengths, interests and employment goals
n
- Develop individual learning and employment plans
n
- Create opportunities to build confidence and practical workplace skills
n
- Connect Trainees with work experience, volunteering and paid employment opportunities
n
- Build strong relationships with local employers, training providers and community organisations
n
- Support, guide and mentor team members involved in the program
n
- Monitor progress and adjust plans as goals or circumstances change
n
- Maintain accurate records and complete required administration
n
- Help create meaningful and sustainable employment pathways
n
n

Experience in any of the following would be highly regarded:

- Disability employment services
n
- Individual Placement and Support
n
- Vocational education or training
n
- Community development
n
- Employer engagement or workforce development
n

Position requirements
n
n
- Evidence of Australian working rights
n
- Current NDIS Worker Screening Check
n
- Current Working with Children Check (Blue Card)
n
- Experience in the disability sector is highly regarded
n
n

You will be based in our new Nambour Centre and work alongside a team that believes meaningful employment can build confidence, independence, connection and a stronger sense of purpose.

The role will be varied. One day you may be helping a Trainee develop an employment plan or practise workplace skills. The next, you could be meeting with an employer, creating a work experience opportunity, supporting staff or finding a new pathway for someone ready to take their next step.
