About the role

We are seeking a safety-focused Load Supervisor to join our Skytrans team on a casual basis at Sydney Airport Domestic Terminal. Reporting to the Ground Operations Manager, you will be responsible for planning, coordinating and verifying aircraft loads to ensure safe, compliant and efficient operations. This casual role will require you to travel on board the aircraft and conduct ground operations activities at the destination as well as the port of origin. This travel is included in your rostered shift and is paid at the same hourly rate.

This role currently offers approximately 22 hours per week on a regular roster:

- Monday: 8:00am - 2:30pm
- Tuesday: 1:00pm - 6:00pm (including travel to a destination mine site, with overnight accommodation and meals provided)

Hours may vary due to operational requirements, with opportunities for additional shifts and future growth as our operations expand. Candidates seeking additional hours may have the opportunity to broaden their experience by supporting other areas of the Skytrans operations.

Remuneration: This position is covered by the Airline Operations - Ground Staff Award 2020 and is classified at Level 7. The hourly rate is $31.03, plus a 25% casual loading, resulting in a total casual rate of $38.79 per hour.

What You Will Do

- Coordinate aircraft arrival, turnaround, loading,



unloading and departure activities to support safe and efficient operations.
- Prepare and manage aircraft load plans, ensuring compliance with weight and balance requirements, compartment limitations and operational restrictions.
- Produce and maintain accurate Load Instruction Reports (LIRs) and associated load control documentation.
- Supervise aircraft loading activities and provide clear instructions to ensure baggage, cargo and special loads are loaded correctly and securely.
- Liaise with Pilots in Command, cabin crew, ground personnel and operational stakeholders to communicate and manage load-related changes and requirements.
- Conduct final load verification, complete required load declarations and dispatch activities, and confirm the aircraft is ready for departure.

What You Need to Succeed:

- Experience in aircraft loading, ramp operations, ground handling or a similar aviation operational environment.
- Knowledge of aircraft loading, weight and balance principles, with the ability to interpret and apply load control requirements.
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to accurately complete operational records and loading documentation.
- Excellent communication and coordination skills, with the ability to work effectively with flight crews, ground handlers and operational teams.
- A strong commitment to safety, sound judgement and the ability to make effective decisions in a rapid-paced operational environment.
