SAP SuccessFactors ECPTechnical Consultant

Role overview: We are seeking an experienced SeniorSAP SuccessFactors Employee Central Payroll (ECP) Technical Consultant tosupport Current Zealand payroll operations, while also being capable of supportingother geographies as required. This is a critical hands-on role supportingpayroll stability, compliance, production operations, and SAP SuccessFactorsplatform health across a complex enterprise environment.

Ideal candidate profile: The ideal candidate willbe a strong SAP SuccessFactors ECP specialist with deep New Zealand payrollknowledge, practical production support experience, and the ability to workconfidently across payroll, technology, vendors, and global support teams. Theymust be comfortable operating in a regulated setting where payrollaccuracy, system availability, data integrity, and compliance obligations arecritical.

Purpose of the role





The primary purpose of this role is to support the Payroll Teamand SAP SuccessFactors, with a specific focus on New Zealand payroll and theability to provide support across other geographies where required.

Key responsibilities

- Act as the subject matterexpert for SAP SuccessFactors Employee Central Payroll (ECP), with a strongfocus on New Zealand payroll.
- Maintain and support SAPSuccessFactors production and standby environments, ensuring systems remainstable, accurate, secure, and available.
- Support payroll processingactivities, including issue resolution, configuration changes, data integrity,transports, and production support.
- Work as part of a global teamsupporting payroll operations across multiple geographies, while maintainingstrong local accountability for New Zealand payroll requirements.
- Provide on-call orout-of-hours support during critical payroll finalisation and payroll runperiods when required.

Mandatory knowledge, skills and experience

- Strong technical proficiencyin SAP SuccessFactors Employee Central Payroll (ECP), including hands-onconfiguration, support, troubleshooting, and operational management.
- Deep understanding of NewZealand payroll operations, payroll compliance requirements,



and payrollprocessing practices.
- Experience supporting complexpayroll environments where accuracy, timeliness, security, and regulatorycompliance are critical.
- Experience with payrollconfiguration, system configuration, data integrity management, ECP transports,and production change support.
- Strong ABAP skills, includingthe ability to investigate, debug, and resolve payroll or integration-relatedissues.
- Solid understanding of ITIL,DevOps, Protected or Agile ways of working, including incident, problem, change,release, and operational support disciplines.
- Effective communication,collaboration, time management, adaptability, and attention to detail.

Desirable knowledge, skills and experience

- Experience across broader SAPSuccessFactors modules beyond Employee Central Payroll.
- Experience with solutionimplementation, upgrades, releases, testing, and adherence to industry bestpractice.
- Understanding of enterprisetechnology standards, operating frameworks, controls, and governanceexpectations.
- Understanding of HR businessprocesses and how payroll integrates with broader HR data and employeelifecycle activity.
- Experience working in aregulated, business-critical, or financial services environment.

Qualifications

- SAP SuccessFactors or SAPPayroll certification is preferred.
- Certified Payroll Technician(CPT) or Certified Payroll Practitioner (CPP) is advantageous.
- ITIL, DevOps, or Scaled Agilecertification is advantageous.
