Senior Solicitor casual or Part-Time to suit Semi-Retired
The Senior Solicitor – Litigation role is designed as a casual or part-time position suited to a semi-retired practitioner seeking ongoing engagement in complex matters. Working on-site in Sydney, NSW, the Senior Solicitor will manage and oversee litigation files, provide strategic advice, draft and review pleadings and other court documents, and appear in court or tribunals as required.
Key responsibilities
Manage and oversee litigation files

Supervise junior solicitors
Liaise with clients, counsel, and experts
Conduct legal research
Contribute to case strategy and settlement negotiations
Ensure compliance with professional and ethical obligations
Support firm-wide knowledge sharing and maintain high standards of written and oral advocacy
About you
Solid foundation in general Law and construction law,
including civil procedure and litigation practice
Experience in Family Law matters, such as property settlements, parenting disputes, and related litigation
Capability in Conveyancing and Commercial Real Estate transactions or disputes, including property-related litigation
Exposure to Labor and Employment Law issues, including workplace disputes and advisory work
Current admission as a solicitor in NSW and a valid practising certificate
Demonstrated experience as a senior litigator, ideally within a mid-sized or boutique firm environment
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with strong drafting, advocacy, and negotiation abilities
Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues, mentor junior team members, and manage files with minimal supervision
High level of professionalism, ethical conduct, and commitment to client service
