About the role:

We have a great opportunity for an enthusiastic Theatre Orderly to join our hospital team on a part time basis with a minimum 64 hours per fortnight. Monday to Friday versatile roster.

About Kogarah Private Hospital:

Kogarah Private Hospital is a purpose-built day surgery offering specialised surgical services and excellent facilities.

Our hospital has three technologically-advanced operating theatres and provides a variety of specialties including Ophthalmology, Orthopaedics, Oral Maxillofacial Surgery and Dental.

Duties and responsibilities:

This role will see you working collaboratively in a multi-disciplinary healthcare team to support patient care needs and deliver exceptional clinical outcomes.

- Provide safe transfer, handling and positioning of patients to and from the operating theatre
- Ensure theatres are cleaned between surgical cases
- Assist with stock management and maintain awareness of cost control
- Ensure equipment is available as requested
- Participate in quality and safety activities

About You:

You have a genuine passion for providing world-class customer service and patient care and adding value to Australian healthcare. You will have:

- Experience in a similar role within a hospital setting
- Knowledge and understanding of lifting, positioning and transferring techniques using available equipment
- Knowledge of WH&S;, quality and infection control principles
- Ability to prioritise and coordinate work to meet patient and customer needs
