Salary
$61,606 to $68,703 per annum (based on 76 hours per fortnight) plus superannuation and an RDO per fortnight. Appointed salary in this range will be based on skills, qualifications and experience.

About the role
This role assists in the maintenance of Councils parks, reserves and sports grounds for the safety and enjoyment of others. Some duties of the position include;
- Operating Councils Vehicles, including tractors, as required
- Completing administration and paperwork as required relating to vehicles efficiently and effectively
- Undertaking effective use of and care and maintenance of resources, including but not limited to, plant and equipment, tools and materials in a safe and efficient manner.
Position requirements
You'll need the ability to prioritise competing demands and meet deadlines. Good physical fitness is important to carry out manual labouring tasks.
A high standard of service is needed to take on a variety of internal and external demands, as well as good listening and communication skills.
The position works in an outdoor workplace under varying weather conditions throughout various sites within Hornsby Shire.
About you
- Current NSW Class C Driver’s License (essential)
- Appropriate certificate from Workcover Authority to operate the relevant plant item (desirable)
- Chem-cert training for use and storage of chemicals (desirable)
- Traffic Controller Ticket (desirable)
