Position Information
The NSW Department of Education provides, funds and regulates education services for NSW children from early childhood to secondary school, delivering world-class education through its public schools and providing funding support to non-government schools. We employ, develop and support teachers, leaders and other staff to deliver the best outcomes for students and to advance the wellbeing of Aboriginal people.
A School Administration Officer is responsible to the Principal for assisting in a range of school, classroom and office activities eg record keeping, book keeping and other clerical duties, reception; operating and maintaining classroom and office equipment; purchasing; preparing and maintaining stock and learning/resource materials.
Selection Criteria
- Effective communication skills.
- Ability to meet deadlines.
- Ability to work with teachers and children.
- Ability to perform tasks in one or more of the following areas: office procedures; accounting procedures; word processing; operation of computers and/or classroom/office equipment; library procedures; hospitality and/or design and technology; science
- Commitment to protecting and promoting the safety, wellbeing and rights of all children.
Special Notes
It is anticipated that the positions will commence on Day 1 Term 4, 2026, 12 October 2026.
This position is .800 FTE SAO (K- and .200 FTE SAO Preschool.
