About the role

This is a hands-on leadership role where you’ll oversee food preparation and service, lead a dedicated kitchen team, and ensure residents receive nutritious, high-quality meals that meet their individual dietary needs.

You’ll play an key role in creating a positive dining experience for residents while ensuring the kitchen operates safely, efficiently and in line with food safety, nutrition, hydration and aged care standards.

You’ll join a close-knit community where residents are supported by dedicated care, clinical and allied health professionals. The contemporary environment and collaborative team culture provide an excellent setting to make a meaningful contribution every day.

Key responsibilities





- Lead daily kitchen operations and coordinate efficient meal preparation and service
- Prepare nutritious, high-quality meals, including meals for residents with special dietary requirements
- Ensure menus and meals align with individual resident needs and care plans
- Maintain compliance with food safety, hygiene, nutrition, hydration and aged care requirements
- Manage stock control, food ordering, storage and kitchen budgets
- Supervise, roster, train and mentor kitchen staff
- Maintain high standards of cleanliness, hygiene and workplace health and safety
- Work collaboratively with care, clinical and lifestyle teams
- Engage positively with residents and respond to their individual preferences and needs
- Identify opportunities for continuous improvement across food service and kitchen operations

About you

You’re an experienced Chef or kitchen leader who takes pride in delivering nutritious, high-quality food and creating a positive experience for residents.

To be successful, you’ll have:

- Certificate IV in Commercial Cookery or equivalent experience
- Food Handling and Hygiene certification - essential
- Experience in aged care, hospital, commercial catering or a similar environment
- Previous experience leading, supervising or mentoring a kitchen team
- Strong understanding of food safety and hygiene requirements
- Excellent communication and organisational skills
- The ability to prioritise tasks, work independently and contribute effectively to a team
- The ability to obtain a National Police Check and/or NDIS Worker Screening Check prior to commencement, where required
