Greencross Punchbowl is a thriving small animal clinic with a loyal client base and a reputation for delivering high-quality veterinary care.

We primarily care for dogs and cats, along with the occasional pocket pet, and see a varied caseload that provides exposure to a broad range of medical, surgical, and dental cases.

- In-house laboratory including CBC, electrolytes, and biochemistry

- Multi-parameter anaesthetic monitoring

About the Role
n
As a Veterinary Nurse, you'll be involved in all aspects of patient care and clinic operations.
n
Your responsibilities will include:
n
n
- Assisting veterinarians during consultations, diagnostics, treatments, and procedures
n
- Surgical preparation and theatre assistance
n
- Monitoring anaesthesia and supporting patient recovery
n
- Medical nursing and hospital patient care
n
- Collecting pathology samples and performing diagnostic testing
n
- Administering medications and treatments
n
- Dental nursing and dental radiography assistance
n
- Client communication and education
n
- Maintaining accurate patient records
n
- Supporting the delivery of exceptional patient care
n
- Contributing to a positive and efficient clinic environment
n
n
You'll work on a rotating roster, including shared weekend shifts, allowing exposure to a wide variety of nursing duties and clinical experiences.
n
About You
n
We're looking for someone who:
n
n
- Holds a Certificate IV in Veterinary Nursing (or equivalent qualification)
n
- Has previous clinical veterinary nursing experience (1+ years preferred)
n
- Is confident across both medical and surgical nursing
n
- Has strong anaesthetic monitoring skills
n
- Demonstrates excellent attention to detail
n
- Can effectively prioritise and manage competing tasks
n
- Is reliable, accountable,
and skilled
n
- Works well both independently and within a team
n
- Has excellent communication and customer service skills
n
- Builds rapport easily with clients and colleagues
n
- Is passionate about animal welfare and patient advocacy
n
n
