Senior Clinical Leadership | Children & Adolescents | Windsor, NSW

The Daisy Clinic – Paediatric Health Services is seeking a highly experienced Clinical Psychologist or Educational & Developmental Psychologist to join our multidisciplinary team as Head of Psychology. This is a senior clinical leadership position for a psychologist who wants their next role to extend beyond an individual caseload.

The Head of Psychology will provide leadership and clinical direction to our growing psychology team, contribute to the development of clinicians and services, lead and participate in professional development and research, and maintain a small clinical caseload to remain connected to contemporary clinical practice.

We are looking for someone who brings considerable experience in working with children and adolescents, strong clinical judgement, intellectual curiosity, and a genuine desire to contribute to the ongoing development of paediatric psychological practice.

About the role

As Head of Psychology, you will have the opportunity to influence both the day-to-day quality of psychological practice at Daisy and the longer-term direction of the department.

Your role will include:

Providing clinical leadership and direction to the Psychology Department

Supporting psychologists with complex formulation, assessment, diagnosis and clinical decision-making

Providing and contributing to clinical supervision and consultation

Supporting the professional growth of psychologists across different career stages

Maintaining high standards of clinical governance and evidence-based practice

Developing and refining assessment, diagnostic and intervention pathways

Contributing to recruitment, onboarding and development of psychologists

Working collaboratively with other discipline leaders across our multidisciplinary team

Contributing to service development, innovation and new models of care

Maintaining a small, carefully considered clinical caseload aligned with your expertise





Taking an active role in the development and delivery of career development

Supporting a culture of ongoing learning, critical thinking and evidence-informed practice

Taking an active role in research, including identifying research opportunities and supporting the translation of emerging evidence into clinical practice

This is primarily a clinical leadership role, rather than an administrative management position. Our operational and administrative teams support the day-to-day running of the clinic, allowing the Head of Psychology to focus on the areas where senior psychological expertise adds the greatest value.

About you

We are looking for an established psychologist with substantial experience working with children and adolescents and the professional maturity to provide leadership to other psychologists.

You will have:

General registration with AHPRA

Endorsement in Clinical Psychology and/or Educational & Developmental Psychology

Extensive experience working with children, adolescents and their families

Advanced skills in psychological assessment, formulation and intervention

Strong knowledge of developmental, neurodevelopmental and mental health presentations

Excellent clinical judgement and the capacity to confidently consult on complex cases

A strong commitment to evidence-based and developmentally informed practice

An interest in clinical education, supervision and professional development

An interest in research, evidence translation and advancing clinical practice

Strong communication and collaborative leadership skills

A genuine investment in developing other clinicians

Previous leadership, supervision, professional education and/or research experience will be highly regarded.

We recognise that psychologists with this level of experience are unlikely to be looking for simply another job. You may already hold a leadership position. You may have developed significant expertise in clinical practice, supervision, teaching or research and be looking for somewhere you can bring those areas together. Or you may be an experienced senior psychologist ready to take the next step into departmental leadership.
