- Manage and maintain beehives, ensuring the health and safety of colonies in accordance with "National best management practice for beekeeping in the Australian workplace".
- Manage hive conditions, control pests and diseases especially Varroa Mite.
- Seasonal beehive management including honey harvesting and pollination contracts.
- Manage Queen breeding and Nuc Colonies.
- Manage harvesting & extract honey.
- Maintain records and report on hive performance and health.
About the Candidate
- Prior experience in beekeeping/apiculture in a senior/head role
- Extensive knowledge of hive management practices.
- Ability to handle bees safely and confidently.
- Strong physical fitness and attention to detail.
- Experience with Varroa Management
- Truck licence (minimum HR)
