Knox Grammar School is an independent, multi-campus Kindergarten to Year 12 day and boarding school for boys, located at Wahroonga on Sydney’s North Shore. In addition to the single-sex campuses, Knox also operates Wahroonga Preparatory School, a co-educational campus for students from Pre-Kindergarten to Year 6.

Knox Grammar School is seeking a motivated and energetic Athletic Development Coach to join the Knox Sports and Aquatic Academy (KSAA) on a casual basis commencing Term 3.

About the Role

As an Athletic Development Coach, you will deliver sessions across our Athletic Development Centre and sporting fields, supporting a fitness and sports skills program and a structured strength and conditioning program. This position requires approximately 10-15 hours per week during school terms, including weekdays from 2:00pm - 5:00pm and occasional Saturdays 7:00am - 12:30pm

How You’ll Make An Impact

- Deliver and supervise gym-based and field-based athletic development sessions
- Coach students in strength, conditioning and movement skill development
- Foster a positive, inclusive and engaging training environment
- Ensure the safe use of equipment and adherence to gym protocols
- Monitor student attendance, participation and progress
- Promote correct technique, gym etiquette and healthy training habits
- Assist with maintaining training facilities and equipment

About You

To be successful, you will have:

- Certificate III or IV in Fitness
- Current Senior First Aid and CPR qualifications
- Current NSW Working with Children Check




- Experience working with children or adolescents, ideally in a school or sporting environment
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- The ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Level 1 Australian Strength and Conditioning Association accreditation desirable
- Exercise and Sport Science degree (completed or in progress) desirable
