The Local Taphouse St Kilda is a much-loved neighbourhood pub, known for its outstanding craft beer selection, quality food, and warm, welcoming atmosphere. A favourite among locals and visitors alike, it's a place where friends come together to enjoy great beer, delicious meals, and genuine hospitality in the heart of St Kilda.

The Role

n

As Head Chef, you'll be the right hand to our Group Head Chef — leading day-to-day kitchen operations, maintaining exceptional food quality, and supporting a fun, high-performing kitchen team. You'll take ownership of:

- Preparing and delivering food to Stomping Ground's high standards
n
- Training, developing, and motivating your kitchen crew
n
- Managing stock control, ordering, and supplier relationships
n
- Ensuring food safety, hygiene, and WHS compliance
n
- Helping smash food GP and quality targets
n

n

We're after someone who loves the buzz of a busy service, leads with positivity, and shares our passion for great beer and food.

What You'll Bring

n

n
- 1–2 years' experience in a similar leadership role
n




- Certificate IV in Hospitality Management (or equivalent) preferred
n
- Strong leadership, communication, and organisational skills
n
- A calm, professional approach under pressure
n
- A genuine love for hospitality, people, and teamwork
