About the Role
Your primary role will be to deliver detailed structural engineering design across a diverse range of projects. This position would suit an engineer who enjoys working across temporary works, residential building design and commercial building projects.
This is a hands‑on role in a growing consultancy where your work will directly contribute to the development of the business and the team around you.

The right candidate will be comfortable working in a small team environment, taking ownership of their work and operating semi‑autonomously with support where required.
Responsibilities
- Lead structural engineering design for residential homes and commercial buildings
- Temporary works design for construction projects
- Managing projects from concept through to construction
- Preparation of engineering calculations and design documentation
- Preparation and review of drawings using Bluebeam and Revit
- Daily communication with clients, builders and project stakeholders
- Site inspections and construction‑phase support as required
- Assisting with the training and mentoring of graduates and design engineers
- Work closely with the Director on project delivery, design decisions, and technical direction
- Reviewing designs and providing technical guidance to junior engineers
Qualifications and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Structural Engineering
- Approx 4-6 years’ experience in structural engineering
- Experience in temporary works, residential and/or commercial building design
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team
- Sound understanding of Australian Standards and structural design principles
- Australian driver’s licence, as site visits may be required
