About the role
We are seeking an experienced Garage Door Installer to join our team at our Brisbane West, location on a full-time basis. This is a hands-on position where you will play a crucial role in the installation and maintenance of garage door systems for our diverse client base. Your expertise and attention to detail will directly contribute to the quality of our deliverables and the satisfaction of our customers.

Key responsibilities
- Install garage door systems in residential and commercial properties, ensuring all work meets safety standards and building codes
- Install jams and flashings to complete garage door openings and ensure correct anchors for installation of doors
- Perform repairs and maintenance on existing garage door installations and associated components
- Use hand and power tools safely and effectively to complete construction and installation tasks
- Communicate effectively with clients regarding project progress, timelines, and any issues that may arise
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment, adhering to health and safety regulations
- Travel to various job sites within the Brisbane, Ipswich area and surrounding regions as required
What we're looking for
- Proven experience (minimum 5 years) working as a garage door installer. Ability to install the different types of doors effectively and efficiently
- Strong knowledge of building codes, safety standards, and industry best practices relevant to garage door installation
- Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, and electrical equipment safely and competently
- Sound understanding of structural principles and construction techniques
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to adapt to varying project requirements
- Strong attention to detail with a commitment to delivering high-quality workmanship
- Reliable, punctual, and professional attitude with a focus on customer service
- Valid driver's licence
- Current or ability to obtain relevant building trade qualifications and certifications as required
- Physical fitness and ability to perform manual labour, including lifting and working at heights when necessary
