What your day could look like
As a Data Officer, you'll play an important role in supporting public health programs that improve outcomes for people and communities across the region. From ensuring trusted data informs decision-making to partnering with stakeholders to strengthen public health initiatives, you'll contribute to work that creates lasting impact.
Every day, you'll contribute by:
- Improving the quality, accuracy and integrity of health data that supports public health outcomes.
- Delivering reports and insights that help teams monitor trends, plan services and respond to priorities.
- Building positive relationships with service providers and stakeholders, providing guidance and support.
- Identifying opportunities to streamline processes, enhance data practices and support continuous improvement.

Here's what will help you thrive in this role:
- Strong experience working with electronic information systems and advanced skills in Microsoft Excel and Word.
- Demonstrated ability to analyse information, identify risks and make sound decisions within established guidelines.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to support and educate diverse audiences.
- A proactive approach to continuous improvement, teamwork and delivering quality outcomes in a fast-paced workplace.
You'll stand out from the crowd if you have experience in data management, public health, research or reporting environments and/or exposure to tools such as Power Platform, Qlik, GIS or SQL.
Most importantly, you'll bring compassion, integrity, dignity, innovation and courage while helping transform data into meaningful outcomes for the community.
