Position: Experienced Chef

Employment Type: Full-Time, Ongoing

Salary: AUD $79,600 per annum + superannuation

The Stag & Hunter Hotel is a well-established hospitality venue in the heart of Mayfield, known for its quality food, live entertainment and welcoming atmosphere. We are seeking an experienced Chef/Cook to join our dynamic kitchen team on a full-time, ongoing basis.

Task & responsibilities
- Prepare and cook meals in accordance with menu specifications and quality standards.
- Ensure consistency in food quality, presentation and portion control.
- Assist with menu planning and seasonal menu development.
- Maintain food safety,



hygiene and WHS standards.
- Monitor stock levels and assist with ordering and stock rotation.
- Minimise food wastage and maintain cost-effective kitchen practices.
- Work efficiently during busy service periods.
- Assist in training and supporting junior kitchen staff.

Qualification & experience
- A minimum of 2 years' experience working as a Chef or Cook in a busy commercial kitchen.
- Certificate III or IV in Commercial Cookery (preferred but not essential where sufficient experience can be demonstrated).
- Strong knowledge of food preparation, kitchen operations and food safety requirements.
- Excellent organisational and time management skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a fast-paced team environment.
- Flexibility to work weekends, evenings and public holidays as required.
