Licensed Electrician — Gold Coast | Small Family Business | $50–55/hr

MCH Electrical is a small, family-owned Gold Coast electrical business — Michael, his wife, and an apprentice. We're not a big outfit and we're not trying to be. We've built 500+ five-star Google reviews by turning up when we say we will, doing proper work, and communicating like professionals. Now we're after one more licensed electrician to grow with us long term.

The work
Service and maintenance with real variety — real estate maintenance, residential renovations, domestic and light commercial, switchboard upgrades, fault finding, data and comms, CCTV, and air-con electrical works. No two days the same. You'll run your own day, deal directly with customers, and have an apprentice working alongside you most days — so you'll be guiding and developing them as you go.

What you get

- $50–55/hr depending on experience, skill and attitude — the top of that range is genuinely on the table for the right person

- Monday to Friday, with the occasional after-hours job when it's needed

- Fully stocked, take-home work van with a company fuel card

- iPad and proper systems (SimPRO)

What we're after

- Full QLD electrical licence

- Solid service, maintenance and fault-finding experience

- Confident across residential and light commercial work

- Neat, organised, and genuinely valuable with customers

- Reliable enough to run jobs on your own

- Happy to lead and mentor an apprentice — you'll have one with you most days

- Happy to use job-management software and keep your notes and photos up to date

SimPRO experience is a bonus, not a dealbreaker — if you're willing to learn our systems, we'll get you up to speed.

Straight up
This probably isn't the role for you if you only want big-site construction work, need chasing for paperwork, or are after a short stopover. We're a small team, so attitude and reliability matter as much as technical skill.
