We are a family-owned and operated mixed farming business managing approximately 4,500 hectares across cropping, sheep and cattle enterprises in the South East of South Australia. The property is located at Keilira on the Limestone Coast, approximately 40km from Kingston SE and 3 hours from Adelaide.

About the role

We are seeking an experienced and reliable Farm Hand - Mixed Farming and Livestock to join our team on a full-time basis.

Working closely with the Farm Manager and broader farm team, you will be involved in a diverse range of livestock and property activities. This is a practical, hands-on position suited to someone who enjoys working outdoors, takes pride in their work and has a genuine interest in livestock and farming.

The role offers a varied working environment across sheep, cattle, cropping, machinery, property maintenance and land management, with the opportunity to develop your skills and take on greater responsibility over time.

Key responsibilities

- Mustering and moving livestock

- Livestock handling, yard work, drafting and stock movements

- Feeding, watering, drenching, vaccination and other routine husbandry

- Monitoring livestock health, condition and welfare

- Assisting with seasonal livestock activities

- Operating tractors, loaders and other farm machinery

- Fencing, repairs and general property maintenance

- Maintaining yards, sheds, buildings, roads and farm infrastructure

- Maintaining water systems, troughs, tanks and associated infrastructure

- Weed control, spraying and vegetation management

About you

- Experienced in a hands-on farm or livestock workplace





- Comfortable working with livestock and committed to good animal welfare practices

- Practical, reliable, trustworthy and willing to get involved

- Able to work independently while also being a positive team member

- Safety conscious, particularly around livestock, motorbikes and machinery

- Able to identify issues and take a practical approach to solving them

- Physically capable of undertaking outdoor and manual work

- Adaptable and comfortable working across changing seasonal priorities

- Willing to learn and develop their skills

- Experience in the safe operation of a farm motorbike is desirable

- Holds a current Australian driver's licence
