About the role

Joshi Lawyers is seeking a talented and experienced Solicitor with 2-5+ years post-qualification experience (PQE) to join our dynamic legal team. This is a full-time position based in our South Yarra, VIC office. In this role, you will provide comprehensive legal services across multiple practice areas including Family Law, Commercial Law, Litigation, and Property Law. You will be instrumental in delivering high-quality advice to our diverse client base whilst contributing to the growth and success of our firm. This is an excellent opportunity for a versatile solicitor seeking to develop expertise across varied legal disciplines within a collaborative and supportive environment.

Key responsibilities

- Provide strategic and pragmatic legal advice to clients across Family Law, Commercial Law, Litigation, and Property Law matters

- Draft, review and negotiate legal documents, agreements and contracts relevant to client matters

- Conduct legal research and analysis to support case preparation and client advice

- Manage client relationships professionally, maintaining confidentiality and ensuring timely communication

- Prepare and file legal documents with relevant courts and regulatory bodies in accordance with procedural requirements

- Represent clients in negotiations, mediations and court proceedings where appropriate

- Assist with property transactions, including conveyancing and due diligence processes

- Support the resolution of commercial disputes through litigation and alternative dispute resolution methods

- Contribute to the development and maintenance of legal precedents, templates and knowledge resources





- Work collaboratively with colleagues and supervise junior legal staff as required

What we're looking for

- A minimum of 2-5+ years post-qualification experience in legal practice

- Proven expertise and experience in Family Law, Commercial Law, Litigation, or Property Law

- Strong legal research, writing and drafting capabilities with meticulous attention to detail

- Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain complex legal concepts clearly to clients and colleagues

- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple matters efficiently whilst meeting deadlines

- Sound judgment and the capacity to provide commercially focused and pragmatic legal advice

- Professional conduct standards and commitment to ethical practice as outlined by legal regulators

- Proficiency with LEAP (highly regarded) and Microsoft Office applications

- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build and maintain positive client relationships

- Experience in dispute resolution, negotiation or alternative dispute resolution methods (preferred)

- Admission as a solicitor in Victoria or ability to obtain admission (essential)
