As an InHab Australia Home & Living Specialist, you will play a vital role in delivering positive, sustainable housing outcomes for people with disability across our national Specialist Disability Accommodation (SDA) portfolio.
You will work closely with participants, families, nominees, Support Coordinators and Providers, Allied Health professionals, and our internal Property, Finance, and Risk & Compliance teams to deliver positive and sustainable quality housing for people with disability in the Specialist Disability Accommodation (SDA) sector.
These are highly autonomous roles requiring exceptional time management, robust stakeholder engagement skills and a deep understanding of the NDIS environment. While experience in SDA is highly regarded, it is not essential for the right candidates with strong transferable skills.
Key responsibilities
- Build trusted relationships with participants, families and their support networks
- Understand participants' housing needs, preferences, NDIS funding and support arrangements
- Coordinate housing enquiries, property matching and participant move ins to SDA
- Support participants and their teams to navigate SDA and NDIS Home & Living requirements
- Identify and resolve issues that may affect successful and sustainable tenancies
- Collaborate closely with each participant's chosen Support Provider to identify risks early and implement solutions to support tenancy sustainabiity
- Stay informed of changes within the NDIS and SDA environment and apply them to practice
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives across the national housing portfolio
About you
- Demonstrated experience working within the NDIS or disability sector
- Strong understanding of person-centred practice and participant rights
- Strong stakeholder engagement and relationship management skills
- Excellent communication, organisation and problem-solving skills
- Experience working with multidisciplinary teams
- Experience in Support Coordination, disability housing, tenancy management, case management or a related field
- Highly organised, confident working autonomously and comfortable managing multiple participants and stakeholders
- Empathetic and approachable while maintaining appropriate qualified boundaries
- Resilient, solutions-focused and confident navigating complex situations involving multiple stakeholders
