About the role

We are seeking an experienced and passionate Barista to join the team at BnG Cafe in Ultimo, NSW. This is a full-time position that plays a vital role in delivering exceptional customer experiences through expertly crafted beverages and warm hospitality. As a Barista, you will be at the heart of our café operations, creating the perfect start to our customers' days whilst maintaining the highest standards of quality and service. Your expertise in espresso preparation, milk steaming, and latte art will be essential to our success.

What you'll be doing

- Preparing and serving high-quality espresso-based drinks with precision and consistency

- Steaming and frothing milk to create perfectly textured beverages for lattes, cappuccinos and flat whites

- Operating and maintaining café equipment, including espresso machines, grinders and water systems

- Taking customer orders accurately and providing recommendations based on our menu offerings

- Creating latte art and other decorative presentations to enhance the visual appeal of beverages

- Maintaining a clean and hygienic work environment, adhering to food safety and hygiene standards

- Managing the café counter efficiently during peak trading hours

- Building positive relationships with regular customers and contributing to a welcoming atmosphere

- Restocking supplies and managing inventory as required

- Collaborating with other team members to ensure smooth café operations

What we're looking for

- Proven experience working as a Barista in a busy café environment

- Advanced knowledge of espresso preparation, milk steaming techniques and coffee extraction methods

- Demonstrated ability to produce consistent, high-quality beverages with excellent latte art

- Strong customer service skills with a genuine passion for creating memorable customer experiences





- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

- Ability to work efficiently under pressure during peak service periods

- Physical capability to stand for extended periods and perform repetitive tasks

- Attention to detail and commitment to maintaining cleanliness and food safety standards

- A positive attitude and willingness to contribute to a collaborative team environment

- Relevant qualifications or certifications in barista training or coffee appreciation are advantageous
