We are currently seeking a Laundry Assistant to join the team providing support services at Bethanie Como Aged Care Home.

The role is being offered as a Permanent Part Time contract.

The successful candidate must be available to work the following shift pattern:

Week 01 and Week 02

Thursday 0800-1200

Friday 0800-1200

The Role

- Ensuring all laundry and linen is laundered correctly, and infection control practices are adhered to
- Sorting and washing linen by wash temperature, colour, degree of soiling, infectious nature, fabric and fibre
- Loading and unloading washing machines and tumble dryers
- Sorting and folding clean and dry linen
- Reporting damage or wear and recommending repairs or replacement

About You

- Previous experience working as Laundry Assistant, ideally in an aged care, hospital or similar environment
- Have a ‘can do’ attitude and a genuine compassion for our residents
- Reliable with a strong work ethic
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
- Willingness to obtain relevant vaccinations
- Current NDIS Worker Screening Check or National Police Clearance (or willingness to apply for one)
