With over 15 years’ experience, our Occupational Therapists aim to promote safe and independent living at home and in the community for our clients. We work collaboratively with clients, families, support coordinators, case managers, and key service providers to achieve positive outcomes, while maintaining current knowledge of best practice.

Position overview: We are seeking talented and compassionate Occupational Therapists to contribute to our mission of enhancing the lives of our clients. As an essential part of our team, you will have the opportunity to make a meaningful difference in people’s day-to-day lives and support improved safety, independence, and participation.

We are particularly looking for an Occupational Therapist who is able to take on ongoing paediatric clients in the South Eastern suburbs and Mornington Peninsula areas, and/or clients in the Peninsula area under Home Care Packages and the NDIS.

Referral requests vary across NDIS, Home Care Packages, TAC, and DVA, with client locations spanning across metro Melbourne, the Mornington Peninsula, and Gippsland.

Therapists work on a subcontract basis, with flexible schedule to suit your lifestyle and preferences. There are no KPI requirements in relation to billable hours. There is opportunity for either full-time or part-time work, with regular supervision and support provided by Senior Occupational Therapists.

Newly graduated Occupational Therapists are encouraged to apply, with full support and supervision available to build your confidence, clinical reasoning, and practical skills in community-based practice.

Skills and Experience (Desirable):

- Clinical experience in community-based or rehabilitation settings, particularly aged care, is highly desirable.

- Familiarity with working with Aged Care clients and NDIS participants,



including Paediatrics is highly regarded.

- Experience in using assessment tools such as Vineland Adaptive Behaviour Scales, PEDI-CAT, and WHODAS is advantageous.

- Ability to work independently with a compassionate, client-centred approach.

- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

- Understanding of NDIS assessments, including SIL, SDA, ILO, and FCA processes, is desirable.

Key Responsibilities:

- Deliver occupational therapy services to clients under NDIS, home care packages, TAC, and DVA.

- Conduct comprehensive initial assessments to evaluate functional capacity and provide clinically reasoned recommendations to enhance independence and safety.

- Administer assessment tools, including Vineland Adaptive Behaviour Scales, PEDI-CAT, and WHODAS. Training will be provided if needed.

- Collaborate with key stakeholders such as case managers, equipment suppliers, and NDIS support coordinators.

- Maintain accurate and timely records and documentation.

Requirements:

- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Occupational Therapy.

- Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA – registration).

- Current Police Check

- Professional Indemnity and Public Liability insurance.

- Current driver’s license.

- First aid and CPR

- Working with Children's Check

Location: Mornington Peninsula - Frankston to Rosebud
