About the role

This position covers everything that comes into the building and everything that goes out. You will receive and check deliveries, enter the goods receipts in our system, put stock away, keep the store in order, pick and stage parts for the factory, and get customer orders packed and out the door.

It is a three month full time position covering a period of extended leave in our store, through a busy time of year. We make truck parts, so the products will be new to most people.

If it works well for both of us, we would like to keep you on afterwards. That may be full time or part time depending on what the business needs at that point.

Key responsibilities

- Receiving deliveries and checking them against the purchase order and the docket

- Entering goods receipts and deliveries in Ostendo, our system. Full training given

- Putting stock away and keeping the store organised so anyone can find a part

- Picking and staging components against work orders so jobs have what they need before they start

- Packing customer orders, staging outbound freight and booking couriers

- Monthly stock counts

- Giving our production and fabrication team a hand when they need it

- General duties as required

About you

- Warehouse or stores experience, from any industry

- Attention to detail. Part numbers here differ by a single digit, and a kit that goes out one item short costs a customer a day

- Confident on a computer.



You will be entering goods receipts and deliveries in our system every day, so experience working in an ERP or inventory system matters

- Comfortable with regular manual handling and lifting. This is a hands-on store role

- Used to dealing with couriers and freight companies. Booking, chasing and sorting out the ones that go wrong

- Strong communication. You will be talking to suppliers, carriers and the people on the floor all day, and raising a problem clearly and early is a big part of the job

- Consistent and reliable. The store works when the same things get done the same way every day, including the days when it is easier to cut a corner

Since 1985 we have been making the engine mounted compressor mounting kits that keep refrigerated transport running, and more than 50,000 of our kits are out on trucks across Australia and Recent Zealand.
