About Ace Academy
We’re passionate about creating a safe, respectful and nurturing environment where every child feels seen, heard and valued.
Our educators play a vital role in helping children understand safety, rights and emotional wellbeing through intentional teaching, strong family partnerships and genuine care.
At Ace Academy, we honour every child’s dignity and voice - and empower our team to make a lasting impact.
About the Role
As our Educational Leader, you’ll guide and inspire curriculum practice while remaining actively involved in the learning environment.
This is a dual role. In addition to your leadership responsibilities, you’ll work directly alongside our team as a practising educator. You’ll spend meaningful time on the floor each day, actively engaging with children,
supporting their learning journeys and modelling best practice for the team.
Through hands-on mentoring, collaboration and reflective practice, you’ll help educators strengthen their knowledge and deliver engaging, inclusive programs aligned with the EYLF, NQS and NQF.
Our team is currently undertaking training in The Curiosity Approach. To guide and support educators effectively, you’ll need to understand and embrace the values of this approach. Previous experience with The Curiosity Approach is welcomed but not essential, as training will be provided.
This role is ideal for an experienced early childhood professional who wants to influence educational practice while maintaining meaningful connections with children, families and educators.
What You’ll Do
- Lead and support the development of engaging, play-based learning programs aligned with the EYLF
- Work directly with children and educators as part of the daily room routine
- Spend meaningful time on the floor, supporting children’s learning and development
- Mentor educators through practical guidance, modelling and constructive feedback
- Guide the team in understanding and embedding the values of The Curiosity Approach
- Promote critical reflection, intentional teaching and continuous improvement
- Strengthen educators’ understanding and application of the EYLF,
NQS and NQF
- Support consistent, high-quality educational practice across the centre
- Build positive relationships with children, families and the wider team
- Champion child safety, inclusion and every child’s right to be heard
- Contribute to a collaborative, supportive and professional team culture
What You’ll Bring
- A Diploma or Bachelor qualification in Early Childhood Education and Care, or an approved equivalent
- Previous experience as an Educational Leader, Lead Educator or experienced Room Leader
- Strong knowledge of the EYLF, NQS and NQF
- An understanding of, or willingness to learn, The Curiosity Approach
- A genuine connection with the values of curiosity, creativity and child-led learning
- Demonstrated ability to mentor, inspire and support educators with different levels of experience
- Confidence working directly with children while balancing leadership responsibilities
- Excellent communication, organisation and relationship-building skills
- A collaborative and approachable leadership style
- Positive energy, initiative and a genuine passion for early childhood education
- A valid Blue Card
- Current First Aid, CPR, Asthma and Anaphylaxis certifications
