Front of House Staff Major Sydney Events

Sydney’s spring events season is building, and Alseasons Hospitality Staff is recruiting experienced Front of House staff for casual agency work across Sydney.

A significant part of the work is large scale events and functions, alongside assignments in five star hotels, corporate catering, stadiums, restaurants, clubs and other hospitality venues.

This is agency work, so venues, teams and service styles will vary. You need to arrive well presented, understand the brief quickly and be ready to contribute from the start.

The work

Spring brings increased demand across events, functions and hospitality venues throughout Sydney.

Assignments can include:

• Major events
• Large functions and event catering
• Five star hotels, conferences and functions
• Corporate catering
• Stadiums and large scale events
• Restaurants and clubs

Depending on the assignment, Front of House work can include:

• Setting up function and event spaces
• Bar service
• Cocktail style functions and canapé service
• Gala dinners
• Corporate food and beverage service

Agency work means different clients, venues and teams. You need to adapt quickly to how each operation works and deliver the service standard required for that assignment.

What we need

You’ll need a minimum of 1 year’s paid Front of House experience in a commercial hospitality setting.

We’re particularly interested in people with experience in fine dining, five star hotels, large functions, major events or other high standard hospitality environments.

You also need to:

• Be well presented and maintain qualified grooming standards




• Have strong spoken English for clear communication with guests and venue teams
• Be confident carrying three plates during service
• Be confident carrying a tray of champagne glasses during service
• Be comfortable working across different venues, functions and teams
• Follow the service requirements and direction of each assignment
• Be reliable and ready to work at the expected standard from your first shift

We work across hospitality operations throughout NSW, including major events, hotels, stadiums, corporate catering, restaurants, clubs, education, aged care and other food and beverage operations.

We don’t rely on an app to decide where you fit. Our coordinators look at your experience, availability and the type of Front of House work you’re suited to when matching you to assignments.
